Got an email from them today. For reasons unknown to science, they have changed my name to Mohammed - hell knows, maybe they’re responding to a lot of angry Mohammeds.

Hi Alain

I'm sorry there has been some confusion. Unfortunately your screenshot
was not informative as I don't see the errors you are referring to.
That being said, we have a lot of emails to answer here at CNS right
now due to the delays, so it is possible that we got mixed up and
answered someone's emails wrongly.

We got more information from Deutsche Post last friday regarding the
particular shipment. The reason for return was because US closed
borders to international shipments briefly on March 27th and over the
weekend, opening again only on the afternoon of Monday March 30th.
Because of this, the particular shipment from March 27th, got caught
in the time period where the border was closed and issued to be
returned back to us. Once it was returned to us, we were able to
reship it with no problem, since the US had opened their borders to
international packages again.

As we stated previously, your item has been reshipped and we gave you
your new tracking number.

Best regards, CNS team

Has anyone here had a smooth transaction with them?
I’m not mad, just irked a little. Maybe they are a small company and were overwhelmed with the rush of orders that came in. I don’t think they are scammers, just incompetent. I’m not going to get upset over a few straps and a roll though.

Seen the thread about it at WUS. People are having largely the same issues with them as we do. Which would mean that they simply bit off more than they can chew.

I bought a few times before this sale with no issues and at a good discount. Arrived in about a week or so. Maybe that 70% off sale overwhelmed them or they had to order more stock. At a time like this, I’m just glad to have CS answer an email. .

Hi!

It looks like there was a problem with a number of items from this
particular shipment (march 26th)

We have recently received these items back and are working on
reshipping them. We're very sorry for the delay. We were not informed
of the problem and were not informed the items would be returned to
us.

we have recently reshipped this item and your new tracking number is

first time they claimed they shipped something to me on 3/26/2020. Never even got to the post office so their claim that the items were returned appear to be bullshit. The above email to me was after threats to contact authorities about their failure to deliver the items purchased. The above email is from Friday the 17th of April.

The above is from today. You can tell it actually was shipped, whether by air or slow boat from China is another thing.

It’s not like I want to play the Devil’s advocate, as CNS has fucked up with the shipping during this sale, and they pissed me off to the point at which I likely won’t order from them ever again.
However, just this week, I had a strange occurence. I’ve ordered a T-shirt from a webshop located in Germany. Since Monday, the parcel status in DHL tracking was indicated as „processed at DHL parcel centre” in Germany. The status was the same when I checked it at 3AM last night. Yet somehow, the shirt was delivered to me today, just before 11AM. Which, going by usual DHL transit routes, means that it had to go through two local sorting facilities, which usually takes 12 to 24 hours. Which, in turn, means that the parcel status simply wasn’t being updated, even though the package must have been scanned on arrival and departure at least 5 times - exit scan in DE, 1st entry/exit scans in PL, then an entry scan at final sorting and exit scan when handed over to the delivery guy.
My theory is at the current overload that the shipping companies experience, tracking needs to be taken with a grain of salt.

The Fedex and UPS trucks are running rampant in my neighborhood these days. But my favorite Chinese take away won't answer the phone. And they did 99% of their business by phone before the coronysteria.

As for courier trucka running rampant, that's nothing odd. If people can order whatever they need online, they do so. Besides, during a lockdown, a shitload of people are simply bored, and if they can, they just shop online for stuff they want, but don't need. So, it's a combination of necessity and boredom-induced whims.

...or pangolins. As to shipping, shippers everywhere are simply overwhelmed by the sudden sheer volume of orders. I don't think their operations/logistics guys planned for this. Now if I were waiting on that Breguet I've been wanting, I'd be antsy, but watch straps? Under the circumstances, they get there when they get there.

I'm similarly inclined to be very patient on this, and for that reason.

Yup - works nicely with the dial patina.
