RIP my friend Boomer aka Boom Boom
Yesterday morning a Piece of Shit punk kid decided to target Boomer and killed him. Boomer showed up at my doorstep 7 years ago after leaving his original owners of three years. He was always waiting for me when I returned from the office or anywhere else. Always wanting his head rubbed and his belly scratched. He would keep Kristen company in the yard, enjoy watching the fish swim in the pond and would lounge under one of the cars we have.
This death hits me harder than most because of the manner of his death and his youth. This morning a young girl showed up at the house before I left for work, standing in the cold and rain. She was crying and told me her boyfriend is the one who killed boomer. He did so because I had told him more than once to stop racing down the street and to keep off my land. Boomer was in my driveway when he was killed. The POS saw him walking across the drive to go into the backyard. He decided to swerve into the driveway to hit Boomer and then took off like a rabbit.
About two hours ago he was arrested and is being held in jail until he has a bail hearing tomorrow not only for hitting Boomer (it is a crime in Oregon to hit a dog or cat and not help it or contact the owner) but for other outstanding warrants. His girlfriend has already informed him I will be at the hearing and waiting to discuss his killing of my friend. I am certain if the fake aviator was here he could spin a yarn about a cat on the Enterprise who knew who to fly. Fuck people like this punk kid. He gets to live and a helpless cat who trusted humans is gone.
