Introducing you all to my youngest son, Ziggy...

Post by guerreiro » September 23rd 2024, 5:05pm

Since I'm new to the forum, I'd like to introduce you to our rescued Chihuahua, Ziggy. He's about 12 years old and the only son who actually wants to hang out with me ;) .

Good dog. Most of us are dog lovers around these parts. I mean besides Conjurer who likes pussies and Jason who fancies crocodiles and wombats.

This is my pack.

Well, guerrero, there's few people I respect more who are both kind to, and rescue, animals. You are alright in my book, goddamn it.

Gorgeous dogs, WISenheimer! Thanks for sharing.
Thanks Rodrigo. I have owned a number of different breeds and Staffies are quite a charismatic one.

Exuberantly enthusiastic about people. Yoshi in particular is a charming sociopath and at eight years old he has his gig honed to a tee.

On a walk, he will see one or several people coming the other way. He will make eye contact, and start looking totally approachable and like he thinks his mark is the most fascinating human he has ever seen.

The mark(s) usually smile and I say you want to pet him, he is totally friendly. A little love fest ensues and then we all go our own ways. A group of middle/high school girls is his highest value target.

Pretty amazing how good he is at this and how well he can read potential marks. Has some basic tricks like roll over, speak, stand for further entertainment.

I will note that Staffies tend towards two legs good, four legs bad in their approach to life. Not always but it is the basic trim of their sails so early socialization towards four legged creatures is recommended for the breed.
