I will miss this man a lot. I posted this here in members only. RIP, I know Ed is out there riding the Big waves and Fishing for the Big ones. You are in my thoughts.

Edward Oct. 4, 1946 - Feb. 14, 2015 BREMEN - L. Edward "Ed" , 68, of Bremen, IN, passed away at 8:46 a.m. Saturday, February 14, 2015, at his home after an extended illness. He was born on October 4, 1946, in Knoxville, TN, to George E. and Bobbie A. (P). Ed was united in marriage to Linda M. on September 2, 1972, at Community Congregational Church in South Bend. Ed is survived by his wife of 42 years, Linda M. ; son, Lewis Edward "Ed" (Judith) II of Niles, MI; his mother, Bobbie A. Smith of Bremen, IN; brothers, F. Tim of Bremen, IN, Brent (Beth) of Elkhart, IN, and Bart (Cathy) of South Bend, IN; stepsister, Vonda (Brian) Jacobs of Lakeville, IN; his three grandchildren and three special "great" grandchildren; mother-in-law, June; and his good friend and fishing partner, Mike. He was preceded in death by his father, George E. , and two brothers, Brian and Kevin. Ed was a longtime Bremen resident. He served his country honorably in the United States Marine Corps. He serviced ATMs while working for Armored Services of South Bend. He was a member of the Lakeville Masonic Lodge 353, F&AM. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 21, 2015, at the Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel, 3718 S. Michigan St., South Bend, IN, where members of the Lakeville Lodge will also conduct a Masonic Memorial Service. Graveside services and burial will follow at Porter Rae Cemetery, North Liberty, IN. Friends may visit with the family from 9:00 - 11:00 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home. Contributions in memory of Ed may be offered to
