After a couple hours of reflection I believe Horse Feathers would have liked to see a couple of things done ASAP here.

1) the choosing of another Asshat to take his seat in the esteemed Hall of Asshats

2)Finding another driver , and drywall supplier, for the TASB (troll and shitbird) disposal unit.

Looking for an all American drywall supplier isn't a problem, my I suggest my company Asshat stucco and plastering.

Asshat needs to be nominated by the other asses. But if I may suggest one it have to be the one that eats with his pecker .

I am not worthy of the Asshat designation , but many are. I move, on the behalf of HF that the asshats convene ASAP for a vote.

He wouldn't have it any other way. Asshats make the heart grow fonder.

I will honor , via his avatar , HF until another Asshat is voted in.

As an infrequent post contributor and relatively late-comer to the hobby, I came to this forum for a variety of reasons. Two which were the humor and the unvarnished truth that was not only tolerated, but encouraged. I can honestly say that the posts made by Mr. Horse Feathers were shining examples of both of these aspects of this forum and have kept me coming back. Thank you, Horse Feathers, for allowing me a healthy escape from the realities of life whenever I read your posts.

I hereby nominate foghorn to become the new Asshat. Asshatery--or asshaberdashery, Hawk will know--deserves the very best.

In terms of new driver and drywall repairman, I am certainly open to those who are willing to go out and warm up the work car on those cold winter nights and drive out to the Pine Barrens, where we dispose of many of our "packages" of ziti.

BTW, I noticed how HF's new title had been changed to "Retired WIS." A very fine and moving tribute to our pal. As we all know, there's no cure for our illness, this thing of ours; the only way to move on is to dine at the head table of WIS Valhalla.

And Clarence will be there waiting for us, keeping the beer cold, the trolls planted, and Turd head sad.

It is truthfully like if a yearold friend had passed away, someone You have known in a long time. I once pm'ed him a draft version of a poem I had written for conjurer, that was kind of a rude joke at his expense. The conversation is gone, it must have been on the old forum site, but he really encouraged me to post it in public, for John's pleasure. That is how he was. I also noticed that his sometimes biting humour had gotten a bit milder recently. I'm really about ready to cry overhere, verdammt.

I miss his wit, his ability to put everything in perspective, and his love for life. He truly was one of a kind. Not having him around anymore, Watchlords has lost a true friend, I shall miss him.

As much as foghorn is a asshat and smart as mother fucker ( and smart ass motherfuckers rule ! ) he is a founding member and represents the true essence of what this forum is about.

As a asshat myself My nomination's for the newest asshat would be Toby ( jason_recliner ) and Chris ( Catnap ). Both have the passion for watches, are fine honorable gentleman with wit and humor that cuts to the quick.

Toby and Chris are my votes.
