Several members had recently asked about Ed and his lack of participation here recently. I sent an email to his address and received this in return this evening.

I was wondering how to reach anyone on this forum. I don't have Ed's password.

With sadness, I must tell you that my husband passed away on February 14. He had health issues for the past year, and just spent 2 weeks in the hospital with pneumonia and MRSA (contracted in the hospital).

He so enjoyed this forum and his watches. We were married for 42 years and the loss is devastating.

Please share this news as appropriate.

Thank you,

Ed was one of the good guys, a keen sense of humor, a sharp wit and told it like it was. His passion was his wife, family and watches. He will be missed on this forum. I encourage members to email his widow.

Very sad, we've lost some great members here the past couple years. I'm at least happy to hear that they loved your forum Alain with the great membership here and the watch collecting hobby of ours. RIP Ed, another great guy.
