Pedestrian might be a little harsh! They are pretty decent, a good watch for somebody who wants to wear something nicer than average, wants a brand they recognise and other people recognise, and doesn't know much or care to know much about watches.

I was referring more to the uncomplicated nature of it. I've always thought of the Carrera line as more sporty - racing themed, GMT, chronos, and whatnot. A three handed day / date just seemed out of place for the moniker.
