Best Bang for Buck Bourbons

The 8 Best Bang-For-Your-Buck Bourbons
Damn, do we love bourbon. For whatever reason, people sometimes get the wrong idea about this distinctive and storied blend of whiskey. They think it’s super expensive and unapproachable, or exclusively reserved for devout followers of the Church of Good Whiskey. But that’s just not true. In fact, there are a ton of approachable, affordable, and absolutely incredible bourbons out there, and we wanted to prove it. If you don’t want to drop a ton of cash, consider these bourbons under $50 a pop.

I've had and liked the 4 Roses, Maker's Mark, Woodford Reserve. The Buffalo Trace and the Eagle Rare sound interesting enough to go find. Since I drink my whisky neat, I don't care for the high proof whiskies so the 114 proof Old Grand Dad is not on my list.

Buffalo trace FTW. Used to drink Makers Mark but lately it just doesnt taste as good. Had some Russells and was pleasantly surprised.

Best cheap bourbon Ive found: Evan Williams

NRPI and Shitheel here.

Ordered bourbon neat with ice water back and got bourbon and water on the rocks. When I explained what I'd ordered to the bartender, he told me to "speak English".

A dying art, indeed.

Used to drink Makers Mark but I have been drinking some local stuff from Law's Whiskey House for a few years - prefer the 4 grain Bonded bottle, bottled in bond at 100 proof and aged in their federally bonded rickhouse for four years. The Farmer's bottle, also great.

Great bourbon and available online.

On the rare occasion that I order a drink in a bar I just tell them to pour some bourbon in a glass. When they bring it I ask for some ice water on the side.

Go ahead, mess that up. Im so tired of doing everything I can to make the other person be able to do his job and to make it as easy as possible for them.

What a dick.

Very good things have happened in the years since I turned 21. The something-other-than-American-macro-lager section in the beer aisle has gone from one door to half the store. I know I'll never have to go without a decent beer (I like a Grain Belt or Hamm's from time to time).

The cocktail trend has ensured that many bartenders know how to make a proper drink. Whiskey options have seemingly exploded, as have other booze options.

That prick has no excuse whatsoever to not understand the basic lexicon of his craft.
Is it safe?
