I found this article and now will have to get a bottle. I’m going to try to have a bottle in hand at all times. I hope it’s good, a friend said it’s one of his favorite whiskeys and he doesn’t like junk.
This story is cool and if true, is made the same way it started (I’m sure, minus health and safety standards).

Shelbyville is just up the road from me; I can go check it out. Shelbyville is just north of Lynchburg and Kelso. Kelso is the home of Pritchard's, which makes a very good whisky and an excellent dark rum. Tullahoma is also nearby, the home of George Dickel whisky. Lots of good, iron-free springs to provide the water to make the whisky.

Amazing number of small distilleries in middle Tennessee and southern Kentucky. I don't drink, but the few distillery tours I've been on are interesting.

I think ten years ago there was just Jack and George; now, there's over 40, maybe close to 50 distilleries in Tennessee now. There's at least one in downtown Chattanooga, across the street from the Choo-Choo. I wasn't that impressed but it was several years ago when I did a tasting there.

Huntsville now has a distillery but I've yet to try their whisky. We've got several microbreweries; Yellow Hammer and Straight to Ale are my two favorites.

Made the happy holidays booze run today. A whole wall of whiskey/bourbon, but they don't stock this brand.
