Any reloaders here ???

Post by codguy » August 25th 2021, 8:58am

.

Has to be other reloaders here no ??

After the market being barren for many, many months, I finally scored some more pistol powder. About damn time! :bvbvbv:

Time to start working up loads for 9x19, 44 Mag & 45acp with this versatile powder.

Now if only primers would become more readily available in say small rifle size........ CCI #41 in particular.

So does anyone else here like to roll there own ........ cartridges?

No but I did find some .22LR and .22 Win Magnum at somewhat reasonable prices. Reasonable for now that is. Shipping eats you up for small orders though.
NRPI and Shitheel here.

“Begin at the beginning," the King said, very gravely, "and go on till you come to the end: then stop.”

If I am to be insulted I must first value your opinion.

I am looking at it. But lack time. Ammunition is plenty here - I mean, the prices did also go up, but unless You try to buy 1000 rounds at a time, it is no challenge.

I do. I favor an incredibly accurate and beautiful old West German made Weatherby but it’s.224 Weatherby magnum, and I think there’s about one choice in ammo.
I value my time at zero so it’s worth it even though it’s slow going with an RCBS rock chucker.
I may have some.44 bullets and maybe even brass. If I can find it you’re welcome to have it. I also recommend a company in PA that makes machined brass bullets. I think it’s something like Cutting Edge bullets, especially for long distance loads. I don’t need any ammo supplies now, and thank goodness. The situation is awful, although it seems to be improving somewhat.

Thanks Doc, I am set supply wise for .44 stuff. Bet someone near you would appreciate the components though.

I still reload all my bolt action calibers with my rock chucker (purchased new early '80's and still works like a champ). All pistol rounds and semi-auto 5.56 is done on a progressive Hornady LNL ammo plant setup equipped with all the bells and whistles.

Hello Fellow Reloaders!
I also cast / powder coat my pistol rounds. I reload a pretty wide variety of stuff from .380acp to 30.06. Will be glad to see small pistol primers return for anything resembling a reasonable price. Saw that there is a new factory in TEXAS that is supposed to be producing ammo and primers NOW. Haven't actually seen any yet.

Situation here in Europe has not really improved. I managed to buy 100 rounds of FMJ from PPU in .308 earlier this year, and also bought another BRNO ZKK 601 in .308, BECAUSE it included 120 rounds, out of which were 97 hand-loaded Hornady SST. Taking the current street price of the ammo alone, I got the rifle for free ;-).
