That was a lot of talking.
I have only fired the German MG-3, which goes back to the Wehrmacht MG-42. I must admit, that one You could fire from the hip, if necessary, but not when standing upright. Also the cartridges would drop downwards, and hit Your arm even if You were to try such a stunt. But mostly it would be too heavy (I only had 130 pounds as a young recruit).
