BRONZE WEEK : Zenith Pilot Type 20

Post by koimaster » April 25th 2019, 11:48am

Today is the final of our posts on some of the bronze watches released so far this year. Again it is about more than one model, but they are variants of a core format that has worked successfully for the brand.

Meet Zenith’s new Pilot Type 20 Automatic and Pilot Type 20 Chronograph, both from what the brand call their ‘Adventure Collection’.

Both of these new pieces feature the now familiar bronze Pilot case. It is 45mm in diametre with a thickness of 14.2mm, and water resistant to 100m. Their dials are khaki green, with hands and Arabic numerals that are gold-plated, faceted, and coated with Super-LumiNova.

The Adventure Automatic it is time-only, with an additional centre seconds hand. The Adventure Chronograph has a central chronograph seconds hand, a 30-minute counter at 3 o’clock, and small seconds at 9 o’clock.

With the lilt of Irish laughter

Every day and in every way

Now forever and ever after."
