ZENITH PILOT EXTRA SPECIAL

Post by koimaster » May 10th 2017, 8:17am

Zenith Pilot Extra Special is the new aviator-style chronograph of the LVMH Group's manufacturing which, as novelties, is presented in aviator style, with a bronze box and equipped with its distinguished caliber El Primero . The Swiss firm developed in the first years of the aviation instruments of cabin - cabin hours and altimeters - of great readability, precision and solidity. Again he wants to conquer the heights but from the wrist with an aviator watch with the bronze fuselage like the legendary models of the past.

The Zenith Pilot Extra Special chronograph case measures 45 mm in diameter and its crown is large and ribbed, two qualities that allow its use even wearing gloves. The structure is watertight up to 100 meters and in its titanium background is engraved the drawing of the plane that Louis Blériot piloted when he crossed the Channel in 1909 with a Zenith watch on his wrist; The Zenith Flying Instruments logo and a motif inspired by the fuselage of the French pilot's monoplane.

A bit too big, but then again, a very good alternative to some IWCs. Would be better off without the faux-aging on the case, but it's not half bad with it either.
I always hope for the best. Experience, unfortunately, has taught me to expect the worst.

Man, that is nice. Zenith does it right, nothing to complain about on their Pilots. Yeah, the aged case isn't my cup of tea, but they do the aged process better than the others I've seen, it's better than good. Every little detail is just beautiful on the Pilots.
