Zenith El Primero “Panda” w/Black Ceramicised Aluminium Case

Post by Racer-X » April 15th 2017, 7:40pm

by Armin Strom "First introduced on the Zenith / Range Rover collaboration limited edition, ceramicised aluminium is obtained by chemically depositing a ceramic oxide layer on the aluminium surface. The ceramicised aluminium case is now part of the regular collection with this new pair of El Primero “Panda” chronographs, both with 42mm case diameter and the high-beat El Primero calibre 400B (36,000 beats per hour) inside. The dial layout is characteristic of the 42mm El Primero with the date at 6 o’clock and the overlapping hours counter. Available with a “Panda” silver dial featuring black sub-dials (ref. 24.2041.400/01.R576), or with the colors inverted (ref. 24.2041.400/21.R576), the El Primero in black ceramicised aluminium is priced at $8,600."

Am I the only one here, who thinks that every company ran by Biver starts to slowly transform into yet another Hublot, just when that knob with no notion of good taste guy gets control of it?
I always hope for the best. Experience, unfortunately, has taught me to expect the worst.

I like these two; so far Biver seems to be a harbinger of good things to come to a brand that could use a little, uh, sprucing up. However, as MTK notes, hopefully it won't lead to ublowing up the line.
