Hole punch Q

Post by codguy » April 23rd 2017, 7:37am

Need to punch a hole in two of my higher end Alligator straps and want to purchase a nice punch. Search function didn't turn anything up.

Are there a recommendations which to purchase? It needs to go down to 2mm.
I would rather order one in and do it myself than to make a trip the hour drive to a reputable 'smith.
Many found during a quick web search look to be more suited for shoes/belts & handbags than watch straps.

Essinger tool ?: http://www.esslinger.com/leather-watch- ... hing-tool/

Thanks in advance.

I got the ones you hit with a hammer, ebay had round and rectangular ones. I didn't do a very good job on the ones I tried it on, fortunately they were cheap bands. Now, I buy different straps and save my originals. That way if I end up selling it, it will have a new strap.
In memory of TB/Phfluff, since he isn’t here to continue to give his praise, I will share it for him.
