Friday night lights
I had the opportunity to attend the Friday night opening of the Oregon International airshow last night. Codguy and I had some passes to the veterans chalet so we got free entry, dinner and drinks. An abbreviated airshow was followed by fireworks, explosives and drones. The 400 drones with LED lights were choreographed to fly in formations that emulated everything from flags to airplanes, helicopters, eagles, and a variety of other things. I had never seen anything like it, but didn't get any pictures of it because I couldn't frame the whole thing in the camera. The lighting for the pictures was pretty limited with the evening and a low overcast. The rain held out for the most part and we had a great time. I've said it before, it takes some nerve to schedule an airshow in May in Oregon.
