Hillsboro Air Show
Here's a few shots from the Oregon International airshow on Saturday. The theme this year was She Flies, so all the performers were women. As such, there were no large demonstration teams on hand. FYI, around 7% of the licensed pilots in the US are women. That percentage is even lower in the rest of the world. The 700,000 certificated pilots in the US account for more than a third of the worlds total. There is another airshow in August featuring the Thunderbirds, Codguy and I are planning to attend. The weather Saturday was fairly cloudy but it worked out pretty well considering that scheduling an airshow in Oregon in May is a crapshoot.
