Face-lift for the Rolls

Post by smellody » April 8th 2022, 11:38am

After encouragement from a fellow Lord with appropriate admiration for Crewe's wares, I've decided to set the Silver Spur II with the headlamps Rolls Royce intended.

I located a factory original LHD LH headlamp in the UK:

I was able to procu6this factory original in sealed box for 1/6 the retail of an aftermarket lamp because it is apparently "expired."

Silly Brits! Now to find a LHD RH lamp assembly and move into the 20th century.

Ugh. Just checked prices on such a lamp. I am less envious all of a sudden. Would send You some change, but cod got all I could spare already, which was, well, not so much, actually none. So sorry!

Spendy. Thanks for looking. The "expired" authentic LHD LH was £101 at Flying Spares. An aftermarket one sells for £600.

A few hundred is still ok. What I found (obviously I did not spend too long) ranged from 900 GBP to 2400 EUR.
Good luck with the chase!
