If I was going to buy a car of this type it would be the Ford GT....lots to like about the Corvette though.
Meritocracy: the privilege, wealth and advancement of those who chose their parents wisely.
Capitalism: a cult that promised to do good for the worst reasons.
Nationalism: a profound longing to go back to a past that never existed.

For sure, but that's a multi-million dollar (don't know the market price) car and sold out. This is a 'regular' production car that you will be able to put in your garage here for under $500k. It's the ultimate real world car IMO.

For now I'll stick to my 2017 Corvette Grand Sport (which will turn) and my latest acquisition, a 2022 Camaro ZL1.

The C8 Z06 at about $ 130-140k, if you can get one for that, will be a relative bargain.

I personally like the C8, except for the side view from door back. Too long to accomodate the rear trunk, which GM considered a must for luggage and to stow the targa top.

I've got a sub-$100k threshold, thus the Camaro, rather than the Shelby GT500 I was also considering, which were about $20k more in today's market.

.
That silver C8 looks sexy as hell (well minus the carbon fiber and all red interior),
the orange one looks like it received a big order of JC Whitney bolton cosmetic crap on it including that goiter on the deck lid.

God does love him some flat tappet cam shafts he does.

That sayd, I suppose I would take the silver one with a black interior and the orange's performance package....... but deep down I would always know it is simply a poor-mans Ford GT.

Jump on me if you will but I havent been interested in Corvettes enough to buy one since 1982. I appreciate the performance but not so much the looks and comfort (entrance and exit). Ill stick to my 2002 Trans Am. Guess I have to since they arent making any more.
NRPI here.
