That new F type doesn't look that bad at all
I would be tempted by the entry-level 300 bhp 2-litre (3-litre, in central London, being taxed to fuck and watched over 24 hours a day? No). However, it makes a lot of noise going about its business, is about as quick as hot hatchback, and the design is AnyCar. I could handle the mouth-no-trousers bit it if looked a bit like an E-type, but it doesn't...

Dr. Smells has a Jag these days, and I have owned 2 E types

(web photo not the one Dr. Smells owns) I had been looking at these for myself back in 2008 but ended up with my C5.

F-Type which I have driven, love and am considering purchasing later this year or next year.

For me the fewer fins and vents it has the better. Of course, what you think of when you say the word "Jaguar" tends to depend a bit on how old you are - I see all fins and blades on the front of an F-type and it reminds me of the flying buttresses on the XJS (shudder).

Having said all that, like Alfa, any Jag in your life is generally a good idea.

That was my Mk2 as a boy. 3.8, 4 speed with overdrive. I had '69 XKE too. I'll find a picture and post it.

My current Jaguar is a XK8. I just dropped off the molded headliner to have an upholster adhere a new grey cloth to it. The headliner was the only cosmetic flaw.

I bought a '71 XKE from a cousin when I was a kid, I loved that car. Unfortunately, I could only drive it from mechanic to mechanic, and wound up selling it to the last shop I had taken it to.

Sure was a looker, though.

EDIT: IDK what happened, the above is what I meant to post. Been a long week.

They are lookers... I've said it before and I'll say it again. I'll push my clunkers from point to point before I would ever drive a prius or other soulless shitbox with tires.

I miss my E. The XK8 helps.... after I get something Italian with two doors I think I need a primrose series three E coupe too. Shhhhh... don't tell my wife. She thinks I'm done when I get the Ferrari.
