Concept cars are among the most interesting time capsules. Not only do they capture their current limitations in design and trends, they also dive deep into the collective wishes of the people who built them. Concept cars are a way of dreaming about the future, today. Unfortunately, most concepts really are design studies to pull a few pieces from and slap them on a sensible and easy to manufacture sedan—at least, that’s how it used to be. Even worse, these wild concepts were either lost to the ages or sent to the crusher after their time on the show floor was up.

With the lilt of Irish laughter
Every day and in every way
Now forever and ever after."
