what looks to be a pair of freshened...? Garret?
Older model Garrett's. Not freshened but low milage, yarded them off my low seven second dragster.......that was driven 1/4 mile at a time.

Knowing how light impellers have become over the years with such a quick quick spool time,
Impeller bearings, too, having improved along the way, allowing those turbos to keep spinning a good while after the engine has been shut down.
Yep, I swear there is a special wing at SEMA just for turbo stuff. OK, I'm exaggerating but technology is through the roof on these things.

Garrett can upgrade my units from journaled to ball bearing if I feel turbo lag is a issue. This is a street car so I'll see how this setup works and upgrade as/if deamed necessary.

4-chamber flow masters?
Haven't decided on mufflers yet (well besides the rotary ones).

Thanks for the inquiry Nuvo.

Looks really good Cod. A friend of mine in high school had a 67 Fairlane, red with the 390 in it. It was pretty quick back in the day, but nothing remotely close to 1000 hp, working on a part-time gas pumpers budget.

More work on the '67

Installed radiator, air conditioning heat exchanger (out of view), March serpentine pulley set-up with bracketing, air conditioning compressor, alternator & power steering pump.
Ceramic coated the headers and did some other cosmetic stuff (including ridding the MSD box of its red clothing).

Another engine pic with some of the the wiring pulled (for front end lighting and stuff). The large diameter boost inlet tubing will be modified at a later date, I do not like how it is currently routed.

And more wiring.................. I'd rather do mechanical shit.
Have three more wire harnesses to incorporate as well.

Let me know when you get bored with this shit.

Three more wiring harnesses? Holy shit- how many altogether?
This first harness is for dash and front end stuff (dash lighting, wipers, headlights, turn signal, air-conditioning, headlight dimmer, stereo head unit, yadda, yadda).
The other three are for;
-Power windows/door locks, speakers, interior lighting
-Engine management, starting/charging circuitry, etc
-Rear end stuff including; tail/brake lights, turn signals, fuel pumps

And a bunch of other shit that escapes me.

That's incredible.

I couldn't get a wire from the battery through the firewall to connect to an accessory plug for my laptop which is the only way to have power with the key off. Stupid Toyota.

Easy fix!
-Pull a fuse under the dash that has constant power
-Plug that fuse into a fuse tap (see below)
-Install tap into fuse panel
-With a fuse in the top receptacle of the tap, the red power wire is now hot.

Only thing left would be to ground your accessory plug as needed.

Image

Just make sure the purchased tap matches the type (size) of existing fuses.

No shit? That is so much cleaner (and easier) than trying to crimp a hot wire leading to the box! Genius in its simplicity... like all elegant solutions.

Hey thanks, Cod- I never saw those before- even I should be able to do that!
