Labor Day at the airshow.

Post by Mark1 » September 3rd 2024, 8:12am

I spent the day with codguy at the Oregon International Airshow. Oddly, they extended the show from the normal Saturday/Sunday to Saturday through Monday. After a clear and hot weekend Monday clouded up and the clouds never burned off. With a low ceiling, the Thunderbirds were limited with the maneuvers they could perform. You run into problems formation flying in IFR. Still it was an enjoyable holiday spent watching airplanes and visiting codguy. Looking forward to the Blue Angels and Snowbirds next month. The clouds and lower light levels exposed the limitations of the idiot behind the lens but here are a few pictures.

Two EA-18 Growlers from the Navy put on a good show. One of the pilots is an Oregon State grad so we can forgive him for going Navy-I guess.
