Have the smaller version bronze inbound. Anxious and excited for it to arrive.
Mine is supposed to arrive tomorrow.
Post up photos and initial impressions.

My watch arrived in a plastic, foam-lined case. I got the watch, a warranty card, and a very basic instruction booklet. No model number or name anywhere so I've copy-pasted the link to the website that sold me the watch:

The movement is a version of the ETA 6498, which was introduced in 1950. There's an indicator for the speed adjustment with slow and fast on each side.

At 43mm, it's a little large but it fits well on my 7.5" wrist. The strap is very nice. Thick but not stiff. It has quick release strap bars. The crown is easy to pull out and it feels very solid when winding.

The dial looks very nice; my crappy pictures don't do it justice. The hands are outlined with a very thin blue line which looks fuzzy in my pictures but not in real life. What I've seen so far regarding the lume is good.

The blue dial looks very nice against the bronze; which right now is like copper-washed brass or red brass.
The instructions on the webpage say to leave a message regarding your choice of dial color. I had used their selector button to pick a black dial but ended up with the blue, which is the default. I like the blue color and was having second thoughts about the black dial so this turned out well. Delivery time was two weeks but the shipper sent several text messages about the delivery time.

For $200, not a bad watch at all. The other Flieger makers should be on notice.

Methinks it has a ETA 6498 chinese clone movement (unless proven otherwise).........................
me also thinks Swiss & German Flieger makers aren't going to be noticing anything.
It's definitely a clone of the ETA movement. Low end Flieger makers will have the competition; not the big dogs, I agree.

Mine arrived and has some serious issues. Lug tips are razor sharp, buckle is, too. Five minutes, loosely fit and the buckle cut me.

Great lume, strap, case color and dial but no way I can wear it. Have emailed San Martin.

If you give them an email they will give you a $100 coupon
Skb watches or San Martin directly? Is the $100.00 only for certain watches?

Ouch, Biglove.

I also noticed the sharp edges on the buckle and that the lugs appeared to be capable of sawing off my wrist. But the lugs have yet to bother me and a minute with a buffer at work and the buckle is smooooooth(and shiny, for now).

I'll be wearing the watch today, after I'd had more coffee.

It's a $10 coupon that's on their home page.

I was considering one until I saw the weapon they sent you.

Now I am having to dispute with San Martin that the issue is QC. Has told me that it is my responsibility to polish off the sharp edges. Hell to the no!

Will not buy from them again. Have spent considerable time explaining the issue and keep getting the same BS.

If all else fails I will file dispute with Discover card.

San Martin is being ridiculous; they should have you send it back to them and let them smooth out the sharp corners.

File a dispute with Discover; if they fail to deliver, curse everyone roundly, then grab Dremel and take care of business.

Then continue to bad mouth San Martin to anyone and everyone. They should never have told you it was your job to do their job.
