Nice little reference. Love the Junkers even more than the Max Bill.

Fun post. Amazing how big a difference little differences can make.

If you want an even cheaper alternative to the Breitling Navitimer, these can be picked up for quite a low price on the swamp.
I got mine in box for less than the price of a Bargain Bucket at The Colonel's.

How is that Rotary? It looks nice.

Oh, I like this one. Excellent choice

Thank you for this list! I'm now interested in looking further at some of the Federick Constant models.

I once bought the Timex homage of Rolex on the list but didn't know it was, now it's no surprise that at the time a rather wealthy schoolmate remarked that it looked like a Rolex. Unfortunately, due to some issues with the watch I had to return that watch after a couple days.

Rotary also made a Carter look-a-like that was surprisingly very well made for the price.

Nice little 2824 inside.

If it wasn't for the ridiculous 45mm diameter, I probably would have held on to it for a little longer than I did.

I believe DBCooper had this model as well. Where is he anyway? Missing like his namesake.

Very nice post Thanks for the info!

I have the Seiko Premier, my only faux gold watch. The dial detail is superb. The Zeppelin has a smooth organic look that is appealing. Many of the lower end alternatives are outstanding. I will have a good time investigating them further.

My next door neighbor owns a rather upscale jewelry store. He is an Authorized Patek dealer. I noticed on his web site that he is now selling Frederique Constant. I called him on it and he said that they are selling well. Frederique Constant? Ahhh... Vacheron Constantin, close enough at quick glance.

I tend to lean toward the psychological aspect.

It may be the most sincere but I think many would consider hearing a woman say "your man tool is freaking huge!" to be the greatest flattery.

Of course my thoughts may be jaded by an abundance of '70s porn in my youth.
