I have one--the Rangeman, in which Casio finally did the right thing and combined the best features of the G-Shock and Pathfinder lines together. It's a fine watch--I've cracked the shit out of it on doorjambs (because it's pretty big) and it's not suffered at all. I have a couple of nits to pick--the atomic timekeeping is twitchy and unless I leave it facing out a window it won't pick up the signal from Colorado (I live in the PacNW.) Also, without picking up the radio signal, it's not particularly accurate--which is surprising in a watch with no moving parts. Also, the resin strap isn't very comfy. On the other hand, it's an ABC watch with a shitload of functions, is accurate enough (even without the radio time signal), and is, in the words of the Watch Commander, undestructable.
Back to the question: I have one, I think it's the tits, and wouldn't part with it. I think every WIS who is ambulatory and does anything at all outdoors should have one. However, I liken it to my chef's knife--I have a prefectly good Wusthof knife--the one I cut the tip of my thumb off with--and although it's not made with carbon steel or cost triple figures it works fine. It cuts great, holds an edge, sharpens easily, and I don't need anything else apart from a small paring knife. However, I see tons of guys who collect a million Gees, some of them very expensive limited editions, JDM only, blah blah blah.
So, does anybody need more than one Gee?
