Looks like BS to me. Probably seller bidding on own watch or something.

I find that auction site like all others buyer beware. I have some that are incredible deals and others that are out their freaking minds. Some are asking close to new prices.

I’d agree with all that. I guess I’m just comfortable from familiarity and experience with the auction stuff there as well as being on the ground there and seeing what kinds of shops are behind these postings and such

As far as sellers, two common dealer types are watch dealers and then general used goods dealers

You can figure that out by looking at other listings.

The used goods guy will want to sell as is don’t know anything about it whereas the dealer will spec and grade it well

The used goods guys it’s a pig in a poke whereas the dealer guys grading is usually quite accurate.

Stivk with guys they have a lot of sales and they tend to focus on niches, and have compressive description and systematic grading

Check out Komehyo or Big Moon Nagoya, google it like I would. These are online retailers of all high end brands. Exchange rate is good now so there might be some deals

Stuff that comes out if Komehyo is super clean. Look at some of their postings the tiny marks they detail.

I know what’s going to happen with the beater one just sold

It’s going to get franken watched into a nice SARB033 case bracelet box etc full collector kit

And the price will support it.

It was my first thought on what I’d do with it were I inclined to do such things

For a while, it seemed like the SARB001/3/5 were going to become superstar classics like SARB037. They’ve done well but the SARB037 went nonlinear

It’s worth noting that the SARB033/35 with whom the SARB037 shares everything except dial color, were widely touted as baby Grand Seikos, essentially UJWs
