Dear JIMBO SKELTON & The TECHNICAL BRAND MANAGER

Post by koimaster » June 14th 2010, 3:08pm

"I just got off the phone with Eyal and need to update everyone on some facts.

It is now clear that there was a misunderstanding on this whole matter. An official statement would be forthcoming by Invicta (Eyal Lalo) and D-D (Mr. Chris Becker) together, in a few days. In the interim there are some facts that must be mentioned:

* All movements are guaranteed to be authentic DD
* Mr. Chris Becker is a legitimate and correct person in the United States and does represent D-D Directly, I do apologize if I assumed otherwise.
* The issues with the movement are not an outcome of DD or their module. The Technical issue has been determined to be in the Dial level placement over the movement and some of the hand tolerance being used - It has been determined that by ordering the proper part (a washer to raise the dial over the movement) from D-D Invicta can solve the problems that has occurred on some of the models

This is my final statement on this matter until I release the official statement from Eyal and Mr. Becker. That will be sent to me directly to distribute.

Feel free to distribute this information wherever you'd like......."

I am so sorry that you forgot to aplogize to me and to this forum. You know the cesspool as you termed it.

So here is what I propose, a formal apology at Watchgeeks to me, this forum and re-instatement of all the people you banned over this. You keystone cops seem to think you can do whatever you feel like doing. You cannot. You insulted me as a stalker, obsessed, manical anon. You insulted Christopher Becker and Dubois, your piss poor apology not withstanding.

I am sure you can have a very LOUD discussion about this in the Big Four/cool kids forum.

Aside from BULLSHIT I'm at at a lost to find any fitting words but I'm not surprised , they have become very predictable on their delivery.... as usual, my feelings about Invicta's and cronies statements are better expresed with a provocative, expressive yet colourful emoticon :tete:

But they will never un-ban all the members they summarily executed for thinking.
Stoolie George is a boot-licking executioner from the Beria mold.

Even Beria got his just deserve in the end. Maybe GTWG will as well.

Go get em Koi. I'm not sure I want to be re-instated there. I have some good friends there, but it would only be a matter of time and they would toss me out again. I know that it is the "Company Store" for Invicta and Shop, but I generally speak my mind and it can get me in trouble.

One can only hope that Georgethetool gets his. When he split from BDWF, he spewed a bunch of lies about us and the admin staff (which I am one of). I never publicly said anything negative about WG until he and Michael publicly stated several lies about us an alienated a few more of our members. I love the "open" forum they have created.

Quite so. Interestingly, this might be a collector's item in a certain sense; like the only of La Mink's tourbillons, this might well be the last running Invicter/DD wartche that hasn't ended up in a dresser drawer (or an Invicter roll-around dive case suitcase).

This is the perfect case of the literal non-resaleable value of Invicters. I might rail on about how much of a soaking one takes in trying to sell Seikos off their street price new--this is very true. Unless you bought a bunch of first generation BASMs and stuck them away, you're probably going to take a bath if you try to get anything close to what you paid for a Seiko on the flip. However, no matter how much you lose on a Seiko flip, you're going to get ass-fucked ten times worser if you try it with an Invicter.

I did okay when I sold my Seikos; 25-30% profit overall. But if I'd held on to them looks like it would have been 250-300%, closer to 300 on average. Of course, nobody could have foreseen this bauble bubble. I needed the money at the time and the sale allowed me to keep my houses, which have just gone stupid, so no regrets, just thought it interesting how a once poor investment has now made people a lot of money (if they've sold).

FWIW I consider previous Seiko prices to be ridiculously low compared to most of the market. Current prices are more realistic and sustainable.
