Since 2011 I added far more mechanical than quartz but there's a CW HAQ that wasn't there before along with a GS quartz which has blunted my desire for an Oysterquartz. I didn't predict that at all well. I did buy the Alfex but it was part of the bandwidth auction along with the Orient.

So I sit with mostly sub 44mm mechanical. My issues with tearing up mechanicals has (mostly) resolved.

My lack of interest in diver watches and preference for world timers was something I called correctly though.

My level of general sarcasm seems about the same.

I would say that I still don't what my tastes are as I just buy whatever tickles my fancy which ranges from dress to divers. I still buy and sell more than average probably, though not so much recently. Short of TV watches, there isn't much I don't like or can find something to like about.

On my shortlist is a Rolex 1655, but vintage Rolex is scary, and an SBGJ005 with the awesome green dial.

I went back to my reply in 2011 and it still holds pretty true. Instead of 40-44mm, I would now amend that to 42mm tops. Trying to diversify the collection with more dial colors other than black. Some of my favorites now are a yellow dial and a couple white dials.

I have no idea. Looking at my collection I have divers, dress pieces, sport pieces, and fashion pieces. So I like a little bit of everything, as far as what attracts me to a watch:

1. Clean, simple dials, be it a chrono or 3 hander.
2. Bracelet over strap.
3. 42 mm is my sweet spot, but will go as big as 45 mm.
Wow, younger me is a lot like older me. I do own a couple of 47mm watches though.

Older me transitioning to very older me hasn’t upended itself but I didn’t see the mini tsunami of Grand Seikos coming. The Omega and Rolex have found loving homes elsewhere. The only quartz is a GS.

Eclectic has been overtaken by a sort of focus.
