WL Fall Charity Auction--The Second!

Post by conjurer » October 4th 2018, 2:50pm

OK, time for another fucking auction! The rules:

viewtopic.php?f=1&t=43368

The proceeds from this auction will be split 50/50 between upkeep costs for the forum and the Shriners Children's Hospitals. Let's get fucking started!

Zodiac Seadragon:

This watch dates back to the early 2000s (ref. ZO2235), and these things were all the rage back then. Today, you'll find nutz asking insane prices for these early Fossil Zodies. This one is quartz, Swiss made, 100m WR, nice blue dial. Unlike many Zodies from this era (and later), this guy's a nice 38mm, 42mm with crown, 13.5mm thick, 44mm lug to lug, so anyone can wear it. The bezel's got good action, and is bi-directionable. The crown is push-pull, so apart from the look, this ain't a diver's watch. It is, however, almost unbearably cool. The bracelet is sized for about a 7-7.25 inch wrist, and like most Zodies, is very high quality. The watch shows signs of light wear, and comes without box or papers, or extra links. Every WIS will want to snap this one up!

Invicta Quartz Chronograph:

This Invicta (ref. 2336) isn't as big and stupid as many modern Invictas; 42mm, 46mm with crown, 13.25mm thick, 52.5mm lug to lug. Ostrich strap with signs of wear but plenty of life left, deploy clasp. The movement appears to be an ETA G-10. Overall in nice condition, comes with cheesebox and papers. Joking aside, if you have a pal or family member who needs a decent, largish watch, you could do a whole lot worse than this one.

Seiko 5-er:

Here's a 5-er with some balls. Ref. SRPB39, this is cool, big, and badass. 46mm, 48mm with crown, 12.6mm thick, 49.5mm lug to lug. Like most 5s, this one is WR to 100m. Crown is push-pull, excellent bezel action (it reminds me a lot of the BASM.) Very long Seiko accordion dive strap, comes with box. And, most importantly, the dial's orange, which we all know makes it easy to read underwater--and this watch will get you plenty of trim, too, down at the dive shop, particularly from communist Australian teen girls. This watch is so hot, I ought to include a tube of Astroglide with it, but I won't.

Boluva Accutron:

Everybody liked the Bullie in the last auction, so here's another; with a Unitas handcranker movement, Swiss made, sapphire crystal, the reference on the dial is 63C117, although this seems to be reused for one of the newer Accu-Swiss Bullies with a 7750 movement. 42mm, 46mm with crown, 12mm thick, 50mm lug to lug. Partial display back. Nice panther-link bracelet with dual-deploy. Signs of light wear, overall condition very good. No box, papers or extra links--will fit up to a 7 inch wrist.

So there you have it, some very nice watches for this goaround, and I expect some spirited bidding. This auction will end on Saturday, Oct. 13, at 8:00PM PST. Have fun!

Cheap bastard. You're just trying to beat the shipping charge.

Should I win the coveted Zodie, I will add $15 to the Shriner's donation.

I would be very careful of the guy with the pecker coming up behind you John.

$50 on the bullie and $10 on the inflicta with the caveat that you take a hammer to it and show photos.

I have saved that gif to my files. Made me laugh pretty hard since I have 7 kittens that were abandoned behind the place my daughter works now living in my home. I am allergic to cats. Anyone want a little pussy?
