Swag-Fest 3! Dress Watches, and Bad Music!!

Post by conjurer » October 17th 2017, 3:51pm

Time for another Swag-Fest auction to help the good work they do at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, and to help fund the forum. Here are the rules, please read them: viewtopic.php?f=1&t=39797

This hear Awkshun will focus on dressey Type wartchs.

First up:

Tissot Quartz:

A very pretty dress watch, with a kinda-throw-back dial, this one has manufacturer's ref. # TKO-BB-13406. Swiss made, sapphire crystal, with most of the box and papers (pillow missing), this one is in fine shape, with an excellent strap and signed buckle, 37mm across, 38mm with tiny-ass crown, 9mm thick, 18mm lug width, 43mm lug to lug. This would be fine for gentlemen or broads, too. You want to pretend you're Don Draper on Mad Men and not have to fuck around with a mechanical watch, this one's for you!

HMT Kohinoor:

Granted, there's not a whole lot of shit you'd want to own that carries the legend "Made in India," but HMT watches are the exception. This is actually a really cool, really well made little watch, with a hand-crank movement, stainless steel case, and classic good looks to go along with it. 39mm with the cushion style case, 38mm with crown, 10mm thick, 18mm lug width, 42mm lug to lug. Made by some weird heavy industries group in India, these things are built to last, and look pretty good doing it. As HMT has apparently closed its doors, I'm sari to say, these watches are surely going to be rare and fine and increasingly collectable--just dot your I's and bid on this, and you too can be a turban cowboy. No box or papers. Appears unworn, and certainly not by an Untouchable.

Bulova Accu-Swiss:

Bullies been making great watches for-fucking-ever, and the Accu-Swiss line, which also has some really grody-looking models, also manages to produce something as timeless (!) as this one. Manufacturer's ref # 68B174. This watch would be great for the larger gentleman, with a case size of 42mm, 46mm with crown, 12mm thick, 20mm lug width, and 50mm lug to lug. With a well finished case, Swiss made, sapphire crystal, automatic movement, it's a really nice piece. Comes with very nice wooden box. Shows signs of very light use.

In terms of swag, this time I'll include a really shitty CD full of terrible music with each watch. Also, a lucky winner will get some leftover fortune cookies from the last Watchlords GTG in the beautiful Chinese Garden restaurant in the beautiful town of Longview, WA!

This auction will be a quick one, ending on Saturday, 21 October, at precisely 8:00PM Pacific time.

Have fun!

Twenty five U.S. dollars on the HMT. Your photo hosting site may be down cause I can't see the pics right now, (or it could be the slow network here at work).
