WL Spring Auction 7--More Kewl Stuff!!

Post by conjurer » April 2nd 2017, 4:17pm

Well, here we are again--and it's actually spring up over here! The trees are budding, and the flowers are--budding too, I suppose--and my goddamn neighbor's already cut his lawn, making mine look twice as bad. So it's time for another round of auctions!

Uhren von UHR Diver

As you can tell from these pics, this automatic diver watch has been around the block a few times. It's from a kraut company called Uhren von UHR, which apparently isn't selling this one anymore--I recall it being a pretty big thing on a few of the forums some years back. There is no reference number on the watch, and it's not currently in their lineup. This one, as I recall, had an ETA 2824 movement inside. It's a big watch, too, possibly too big for you pantywaists with your bespoke colourways and shit: 45mm, 50mm with crown, 53.5mm lug to lug, 16.4mm thick, lug width 24mm. Obvious signs of pretty heavy use, but that's what they call patina, you dumb bastards. It's the perfect weekend beater when you don't want to wear your Bamford Rolex or when you're doing some slumming, trying to hustle up a little strange. Comes on aftermarket generic NATO, no box.

Citizen Ecodrive Blackout

If you're into colourways, this one probably ain't for you--unless you want an all black colourways. This one, ref. BM8475-00F, is kind of a takeoff on your standard pilot's watch, especially since, like pretty much all blackout watches, you can't really read it very well--but it sure looks cool, and will, no doubt, get plenty of trim with it. 42mm, 45mm with crown, 48mm lug to lug, 10.5mm thick, 22mm lug width. This one looks brand new (the hangtag's still on the buckle). Being an Ecodrive, you don't have to worry about changing fucking batteries, either, because it's SOLAR. No box or papers with this bad boi.

Zodiac Sea Ghost

This one is a classic early 2000s Zodie quartz sports watch; ref. #ZO2402. This was back when Zodiac simply couldn't make a lame watch. 43mm, 47mm with crown, 49mm lug to lug, 13.5mm thick. This one has a specially fitted strap with goofy lugs, so I won't bother with lug width. The strap, however, is in perfect shape and will probably outlast my liver (which isn't really saying that much.) Swiss made, 100m WR, nice handset, etc, this one will have panties hitting the pavement like the Italian air force. No box.

Luminox Modern Mariner

I've never been much of a Luminox fanboi, but this one is flat-out fucking cool. Swiss made, microtubes for seeing in the dark when you're hunting down bin Laden, nice bracelet, very good black IP, sapphire, 200m WR. This one looks to be BNIB, I don't see a mark on it. 45mm, 49mm with crown, 51mm lug to lug, 13.5mm thick, 24mm lug width. The seconds hand is being funky, so it probably needs a battery, so take that into account when bidding. Comes with boxes and papers, the bracelet appears unsized, should fit up to an 8 inch wrist, maybe more.

Okay, then, that's the lineup for this auction. This auction will run until Saturday, 8 April, ending precisely at 8:00PM Pacific time. All sales final. Bid either by posting in this thread or via PM to me. Please clearly state the item you are bidding on and the amount of your bid. High bid wins. As before, 25% of the proceeds will go to the forum for upkeep and 75% to be donated to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (https://www.stjude.org/). Please add $10 to the winning bid to cover shipping costs; non-CONUS members, add $30. I will ship the watches USPS Priority ASAP after the auction ends.

Have fun!

I've heard great things about those Swiss Legend winders. A lot of buzz, hot with the influencers.

The last one to sell that's still not in private collections and Swiss legendary museums in Geneve went for 1.25 million dollars US in Dubai.
