Auction!!!! Woohoooo!!!

Post by foghorn » August 2nd 2016, 1:32pm

I bought this around 13 years ago and wore it on a semi regular basis for a couple of years. Then it lived in a watch display case looking pretty, but not ignored. It got a monthly winding and occasional wear. It deserves better. Don't be put off by the foo-fooity of the name. It's a solid and robust tympeece.

W/R is 50m and it measures approx. 40mm sans crown and is about 14 mm thick. Crystal is sappphire. (Holy Mackerel!!)
Condition is normal ,given its history. Probably rates in the mid-high 80's depending on your patinal tolerance.
The high polish bezel has swirlies galore . The leather strap has definitely been worn but isn't cracked or unduly funkified.
The tail of the seconds hand and a small part of the minute hand show some kind of discoloration. I noticed this about a year after I bought the watch and chose to ignore it since the AD had gone tits up. Not a problem-IMO-since they have looked exactly the same for the past 10 + years. None of these signs of age are noticeable to anyone but an anal WIS with a loupe.

All pics except the wrist shot were taken today.

There is a reserve . I will make known if and when it is met.

USPS Money Order only unless we're tight. But no PayPal. Hell No!!

Shipping is on me via USPS priority'

This is an automatic dammit!!!

I just wound it and will check the accuracy and report back tomorrow. To my best recollection is was within 2 secs .

It has no papers and will ship in a Non-Fendi box.

The auction will end at the stroke of 8 PM EST Monday August 8th.

It will begin now.

I gave the watch a full wind 24 hours ago to check accuracy. (Not sure why that's so much trouble for some sellers, you read that "I haven't checked for accuracy" all the time.)
After 24 hours sitting in a box it appears to be SPOT-THE FUCK-ON!!!
So it has that going for it.
