I personally don't know shit
Well, if its on the bottom of your shoe it is shit, on the top its Shinola.

She must have gotten her name the same way 3 Dogs Fu.king did.
NRPI and Shitheel here.

“Begin at the beginning," the King said, very gravely, "and go on till you come to the end: then stop.”

If I am to be insulted I must first value your opinion.

Yeah I was rather taken aback when I saw they appropriated the monster moniker. Seemed brazen and cheesy.

I don't mind some of their stuff but damn, when I see the prices I move on...
Agreed. Nothing they produce justifies the price asked. I guess their target demographic is those who know shit about wartches.
See you're WRONG I don't work at all, I'm a Democrat. The immortal Horse Feathers as spoken to Chucky Ninetoes.

I have seen a few articles recently pushing Detroit is back, Paris of the Midwest which was the early to mid 20th century meme about the place before everything went off the rails there.

And apparently they are getting more tourist traffic. I could see Shinola leaning into selling to Detroit tourism souvenirs. People who got money to blow on vacations to Detroit probably overlaps a lot with people who know nothing about watches and perhaps many other things

If the watches are made in the USA I don't have a problem with the prices. And wasn't that their whole point years back hen they started? But where is the detail, description, pics of the Detroit workshop/s?
Went rooting around their site. Found an article where they say they have a 30,000 square foot space where they have assembled 1million watches over the past ten years and present some of their watch assemblers and movement repair staff.

So they have some of their own capabilities. Some credit for that. Being Detroit, I am sure they would love to get to the poinr they can put Made in USA on dial. Right now they just put Detroit.

Honest enough. I briefly had a Vaer a while back and they were putting Assembled in USA on dial which struck me as being a try hard thing.

That's impressive, 1,000,000 watches. I still think, though, that they need to make most/all of the watches in Detroit and be very explicit as to what they do and and how much they do, if they want to charge the prices they do. If it's not an American watch, I can't see why else anybody would pay those prices.
