The First Shinola Automatics
Since this was about Shinola, I had no idea where to place this thread, but I guess this kinda/sorta works; from WatchPro.com:
Shinola has finally managed to produce a mechanical automatic version of its signature Runwell collection using imported Swiss Sellita movements in watches assembled in Detroit.
The first models hit stores in April, priced at $1,095 on a leather strap or $1,295 on a steel bracelet.
They come in 39.5mm or 45mm cases with domed sapphire crystal front and back. The back has a small portal giving a glimpse at the Selita SW200-1’s oscillator.
Shinola says it has been working on incorporating automatic movements into its Runwell family ever since they launched in 2013. “This is definitely an evolutionary moment for us,” a spokesperson says.
