Sent my Daytona from 1998 in for refurbishment

Post by Datsun240Z71 » December 5th 2025, 5:18am

I have had my SS and gold Daytona since purchased new in 1998 from the now defunct Bailey, Banks and Biddle jewelry chain here in Nashville. It has the Zenith movement.

I wore it daily for many years, and the bracelet is very worn, has a great deal of "stretch", and is basically polished due to wear, as is the case and lugs The brushed finishes are virtually gone.

Mechanically, it was last opened up probably 15 years ago (not sure) but works flawlessly. They will service the movement and replace gaskets, etc.

The dial is still perfect.

I elected to send it to Rolliworks in Miami as they specialize in the the bracelet work, and the results online look amazing. They also do metal repairs including rebuilding lugs and such (which I should not need), as well as the mechanical repair. They responded quickly with an estimate, shipping label, and acknowledged receipt of the watch yesterday.

Movement Service $1295
Mainspring $50
Gaskets $70
Bracelet work $450
TOTAL $1865

6-9 week turnaround
