Thanks gentlemen.

The Z just spent about 6 weeks in the shop having various repairs made. The main issues was a shake in the steering fixed with a replacement upper steering shaft and tweaked alignment. That had been a long time issue. The other was a fuel delivery problem assumed to be a carburetor issue. Instead, the 6 month old fuel pump I put on to replace the original (after the issue started and it was over 50 years old) turned out to be defective. A new one thankfully fixed it and it starts and drives better than in a long time. I've owned it since 1987 and it now has 284k miles. It has sat a lot the last two years... only driven 1,100 miles in that time. I don't turn wrenches other than simple stuff on the Z like an oil change. Otherwise I leave it to the pros. It took me a long time to find anyone willing to work on the Z since the Z shop here I used since 1988 closed about 3 years ago. All of the shops I contacted won't work on cars built before 2000. The fellow I found described himself as a problem solver, not a mechanic. He was right.

Love the Z! Always was a favorite, took me a few years of trying to find someone that would work on a 2002 JDM RX7 Spirit R type A. Greatest non knowing auction buy I ever had and longest turnaround time to resale.
