I really like pretty much all of George Lucas’s creative endeavors…. Also, I tend to generally like pretty much all “decent” wristwatches even though I’m only active on this hater site.

But, yesterday, some poor bastard had posted his pride-and-joy Star Wars Wartch on the FaceTube and received many accolades from readers self-identified as highly esteemed horologists in-the-know.

This, then, is why when an acquaintance happens to ask, “…oh, do you like wristwatches?” I’m usually somewhat evasive.

“I mean, sort of…”

It was my daughter who spilt the beans one excruciating time when we were at party with other families - in front of another dad talking to me wearing his Invicta “Russian” canteen diver: “‘Sort of’!? Daddy, don’t you have, like, over a hundred watches!”

Can you imagine a more uncomfortable setting?

So… spare yourself the same hassle I have experienced - if you end up in a room with a lunatic wearing the watch below, the smartest move you can make is to put your own watch in your pocket - and then point to your phone and explain how “nobody wears watches any more”!

It looks like the tattoos were just his first cry for attention.

One of my workers at the prison, Brent Mack, killed his wealthy mum. He used her email account for several months after burying her in their backyard, pretending to be her. He maintained her business commitments and communicated with her family in Malaysia, hiding and profiting from her death for several months.

When finally arrested, Mack blamed his druggo brother and his druggo brother blamed Mack. When the druggo brother overdosed, Mack, already in prison, and on some kind of spectrum, decided he could no longer speak and would only communicate via hastily scrawled post-it notes. This was often hilarious when our conversations veered on to more complicated subjects, or if he was upset. That watch reminds me of Brent Mack, the autistic matricide.

Good Christ, that is a Mighty Hydromax, tattooed with Star Wars bullshit. Both signal mental illness, as Herr Recliner says in his wonderful post. To see a grown-ass man with Star Wars shit on is pathetic. To see him wearing a Mighty Hydromax with Star Wars shit warrants immediately execution. There is no need for judicial processes. Put the bullet right there, behind the fucking ear, and leave him in a shallow grave.

I think I actually remember reading something about that guy around 10 years ago or so. From Perth, IIRC... and I think he pulled it off for a couple of years.

Yeah, that's gross enough that I think it reasonable to refer to the monstrosity as the Brent Mack Speciale... because, that fruit bowl of a watch is every bit as 'special' as the young Mr. Murder Mack types who could be seduced into actually wearing one.

A couple of years!

Yeah, I worked with some real characters in there. Aaron Carlino was also one of mine. We'd give him an angle grinder and oh how we'd laugh!!!

Had a case once where a paraplegic who lived in a brutally violent housing project murdered and dismembered a guy with a hatchet for listening to opera music. The raw nerve left pieces of his neighbor in several dumpsters and put the victim's head on a platter in the refrigerator.

The police caught the guy on a plane bound for South America 15 minutes before taxiing out for takeoff..

Some of the personalities referenced here seem to be a touch ‘eccentric’ making me think that perhaps it’s Preparation H - or even, lead - poisoning?
