Obaku watches

Post by Ofcmark » December 23rd 2022, 9:33am

Greetings
So the other day I stopped at a small jewelry store by the courthouse to get a watch battery changed on my lunch hour I saw they were selling Obaku watches, I have never heard of this brand and was wondering if anyone here has one I’m sure someone here is heard of this brand a can possibly give me some ideas about it. I was told they uses Miyota movements and mineral crystals. The designer is from Denmark. Any information will be helpful.

I haven't heard of them prior to your post.

Dalliane says:

Let me tell you a little bit more about our brand:

Obaku takes its name from a branch of ancient Asian philosophy, asking you to be present in the moment. Our designers are Danish, and it is in the congregation of minimalist, Danish design and simple Asian philosophy, that Obaku finds its magic.

You can find the key elements of Danish design in our watches: functionality, minimalism, and a design that will last a lifetime.

Obaku was born based on the idea of calmness and balance in the fashion items that we choose to wear in our daily lives. Focusing on the state of mind, our goal is to remind you to be present while looking sophisticated and fashionable every day. Our elegant timeless pieces will encourage you to take one day at a time.

Movement info on their site is limited to the complications - viz 'Movement: Chronograph' and sew Fourth. Designed in Denmark, made in China, and distributed from North Carolina.

Nicer looking of the fashion brands of late, if they're indeed sporting Miyotas be hard to get hurt, unless of you get a stutterer.

What is the movement used in their watches? I'm not interested in the chronometers but rather the more 'austere' offerings. Under "movement", the say " 2 hands".

quartz? mechanical? automatic? imaginary? NH-35 or some decent quartz is okay by me but at least let me know.
