Watch forums now & then

Post by koimaster » June 13th 2021, 2:42pm

So over the years forums have changed and so have the members, good and bad. what are you favorite forums and why and the forums you dislike and why? You can also add any other watch forum if I did not mention them. You can vote for multiples if you choose

So, a vote is in favor? By default forums sans yielded votes are not in favor. (Do the brits spell favor as "favour?" If so, I prefer and fancy that spelling.)

I have no problem voting for this forum. The layout and color scheme is easy to navigate an unobtrusive; the members a motley crew not afraid to say what they really think, and no annoying banner ads trying to get me to buy a 56mm flame fusion pile of excrement.

This is my horological home - feisty, frank and fan-boi free.
I occasionally visit TimeZone, but it's very pretentious and after 20-plus years I STILL haven't figured out how to post pics. There's occasionally good info, but way too tied to the manufacturers.
The rest really don't enter my consciousness anymore for a variety of reasons, but mostly because my passion for watches doesn't burn as brightly anymore.
I still purchase and enjoy wearing (just changed to a different watch to go out for pizza last night) but now have other obsessions: Motorcycle racing, motorcycles, cars, handguns, switchblades. Not sure what that says.
But Watchlords is one of the greatest places to talk time ever.
Thanks Alain
