Interesting that the diver logo they use today was used on a watch caseback in 1970.

I am not sure, but I recall that Brevet was known for making waterproof cases for other mfgr's. I've seen that logo before.
Here is that logo on a Hamilton.
I think Invicta "borrowed" that diver logo for their products.

I only had a semester of Spanish in 7th Grade.

When I first started collecting in 2009 and my interest started to veer to vintage, I bought a 1948 model Invicta. Nice watch.

'Brevet' means 'patent', and the diver logo was/is the logo of the Erwin Piquerez 'compressor' and 'super compressor' watch cases.

That is the only Invicta watch, to me, that is an absolute gem. If someone offered me one I'd have a hard time turning it down. Seriously.
