What $200 USD gets you at feebay - 6309

Postby koimaster » February 5th 2017, 4:38pm

I know, not the original dial but with all of the modded ones out there, I like yellow. I gave mine to a grandson for his birthday just last week so finding this one was a surprise. I like the 6309 a lot and also have a standard issue one from 1982 which needs to be repaired when I can get to it.

Now we're talking. I guess maybe I'm the dolt for never even considering the Bay.

Haven't bought a ton of watches in eBay; but, have sold more than a few there.

I like this one a lot, Koi. Needs a good shark mesh.

I noticed it's from England. Is the day wheel in American? Congratulations Alain. Just don't buy one of those vintage Seiko from Thailand. There are quite a few Ebay sellers who sell "restored" crap that doesn't work.

Thanks Mark. The day wheel is english and Arabic. Never buy watches from asia, phillipines or most of europe. I also never buy from bogans down under  i know the seller from the past. Good guy.

Lovely watch.
Want me to fetch it for ya? :) Melton is about 30 miles from me, I used to cycle there and back for fun.

So this arrived today, well packaged from Brexit world.

Thinking it would look better on mesh or a silicone rubber strap but not sure I am going to keep it. Great watch, just do not like it as much as the Stowa with the yellow dial.

I think I am going to flip it. Looked at this morning and it just was not impressing me like I thought it would.

Mesh it, give it a shot on mesh before you flip it. It's a cool watch.

These look way better on either an oyster or-preferably-a Jubilee bracelet in my humble opinion.

I have a mesh at the house and will try it this afternoon but I think it is the dial size compared to my new PADI. Not sure at this point.

Have one of those too so will try both later today.

Frankly, I'm just glad the transaction went smoothly. I have serious fleaBay phobia.
