When the Combat subs were first introduced I looked at one at the local AD. The first one out of the case had a bezel that you practically needed a wrench to turn. That was enough for me.
Prior to that I owned a few Glycines with no problem. I believe they started their descent around that time.

This brings back all those nasty memories of watching Rotary's downfall. It also brings to mind Eyalalo's statement about having no plans to change the Glycene brand; apparently this was true, even if only accidentally, since the brand had already descended into mediocrity, both with the above-posted new release, and the already-existing quality issues they've been experiencing.

Stating the obvious: Has anything Invicta ever done improved with the passage of time? The entire brand is about cutting corners - they even eventually used a cheaper auto movement in the 8926, their most popular watch.

Enjoy the Glycine models you have or those you can pick up from other owners. If you think that new watch is ugly ... you ain't seen nothin' yet.

What movement is in the 8926 I thought it was the nh series

And has rendered it utterly meaningless to collectors. Just like with Technomarine, the gray market is flooded with old Glycine models, and nobody anywhere seems to trust or care about the new ones. Nice job once again, LaDingo.

It is (NH35 i think). But it used to be Miyota. Can't judge which one is better. I have a Spinnaker NH35 but never had a Citizen movement watch

After learning some things on this forum I now think Invicta is pretty awful (never owned one). It's a learning process, ya know. Jeez some impatient people thought I was a troll. Are we not allowed to make mistakes?

I've yet to see any Technomarine watch that impressed me a slight bit. Maybe Invicta did ruin it badly

The Miyota 9015 is one helluva' fine movement. Will take it over and NH movement any day.

Don't forget that the NH35's (and 36's -- those with day/date's) are Seiko movements that have been proven by a wide variety of other brands, as opposed to just Invicter. I've always been a big fan of the Miyota family of movements, but it's a tough road to hoe if you're trying to prove one is better than the other, IMHO. When it comes to Invicter products, I always opt for those with the Miyota movements, as these are the older pieces, oftentimes made before Invicter made their ultimate slide from mere mediocrity and into full "assclownery." Perhaps the across-the-board success and familiarity of the NH movements has bred something like a mild form of contempt, but my preference for Miyota movements has a genuinely practical side, all things considered. ;)
