10 Best Dive Watch Brands You Don’t Know About

Postby koimaster » November 28th 2017, 10:40pm

To someone who’s not all that interested in dive watches, many of them may look alike. But if you are into collecting dive watches, you’re always looking for another one to buy. In doing so, you have several options: you can go vintage, stick with the classics from established brands, or maybe even consider some of the many alternatives out there from start-up, re-launched, and boutique dive watch brands.

For those interested in the third option, we have put together a list of dive watches from lesser known brands (in alphabetical order) that we feel are worth checking out, covering a wide range of prices and specs.

That is a whole list of watches that I would not own at any price.

Aquadive, that's a goal watch for me. I seem to be a day late for the aquadive vintage or the sellers are out of their minds asking double what they are worth. I've been looking for around two years.

What a tragic list.

The Aquadive pictured is the one they forgot to put a lume pip on. Not sure they'd be happy that everyone was reminded of that

The individuals pushing AD on WUS were first class pricks. It was the first and only time time I ever saw WUS censure one of their own sponsors.

The asking price for the watches is too high for me to take the leap. There were QC issues in the early watches too, though that might since have improved. I wouldn't pay that kind of money for a watch company with no history...and buying someone elses history and pretending its your own (like the current Doxa) doesn't count IMO.

Quoted for truth. Aquadive or doxa? Both dead brands with real histories which had their name purchased and fake histories created ala granny lalo.

And I might be wrong but I don't think you can actually buy an Aegir CD-2 currently? Todd was not happy when he found out the Soprod A-10 is a cloned Seiko movement. He didn't want any Asian content in his watches, so not sure what he did about that.

Great article and some lookers on there but as I'm fickle and probably snobby I could pump ££££'s into a brand that wasn't one of the 'big ones'

This is the one I'm after, I just think it is a good looking watch with a good movement and great size.

I still love the UTS.

I have a girl friend who is a colossal P.I.T.A. Why would anyone name a watch that?

My poor mans version of the UTS regretfully long gone.

I'm with you guys. That's some clunky lookin' stuff there. I understand why dive watches are so popular, but those that keep trying to reinvent the wheel are downright laughable. Honestly.

I owned the CD2. Nice watch. Reminded me of the kobold seal. Shame I could never find the right strap for it.
