Did a trade last week for my Tudor heritage Chrono for a Black Bay Dark. The chrono just looked too much like a Mets uniform and the legibility was too tight for my retired eyes. To put the long story short we both shipped USPS Insured, always insist on insurance. My watch reached Cali just fine but my new watch is floating in the ethernet somewhere. The tracking at one point said it had arrived in my town but was delayed for delivery
What happens is that the post office puts all the boxes for a destination in a sealed container and marks it as arrived. Then when the parcel container is emptied out they put a hold on the item not present. Very confusing but always get insurance even if the other side wont cover it themselves. There's a three thousand dollar tooter on the loose but we will be eating cream of Asurion soup this Thanksgiving.
