Lovely car, very popular over here. I used to own a 1987 Audi Coupé similar to the original Quattro.

Hey Mick that is a cool Audi. Looks immaculate and fast just standing still. Have fun touring about and find the twisty roads for full enjoyment.

Looks spanking new. Have fun in it.

We will be in L.A. in September for a movie premier that my son has written the title song for. Have rented an Audi A4 convertible for the week.

Had thought about zipping up to the PACNW to say howdy to the Lords in the area but then realized it is an 18+ hour drive. Sheeeeit.

Great car. I remember when they came out and were nearly identical to the concept car. Congrats!

My bad. I forget to wear my glasses at times. Nice car Mike. I have an S6 sitting in the garage and have owned audi cars since 1984. Rovers and Audi rock.

Cool ride; top and the accelerator both down must make it feel like your flying.

It's a terrific drive, man.

You'll just jump onto I-5 N and in a jiffy you'll be to the grapevine which is two lanes up about a 42% grade. As you are flying at about 23.2 MPH you'll notice two 18 wheelers in the right lane. The truck in front will be going 3 MPH, the truck in the rear will be traveling 4.38 MPH. Just as you are about to get by, the truck in the rear will pull into the left lane to pass forcing you to slam on your brakes and follow the guy at 4 MPH for the 12.9 miles that it takes the asshole to pass the other asshole. Once you get by those guys, 1/2 mile later, there will be a car prostrate across both lanes that will appear to be on fire from where traffic initially grinds to a stop. After the two hours it takes to go the 1367 feet to get to the car that's on fire, you'll notice the the car is boiled over because the jerkoff didn't bother to pull off the road into one of the many cooling stations along the way. Merging back onto the 5, you will quickly speed up to the avg speed of 31 MPH for the duration of your trip. 18 Hours    Maybe 30 years ago.

It's a classic CA drive. Don't miss it!

P.S. If you don't mind adding half a day to the trip, you can take the Pacific Coast highway (the 1, that is). Be sure and stop to take selfies at the Malibu Mudslide Monument.

How big's the trunk? Could we get a troll in there if the Caddy breaks down?

My bruddah from a different mother!

Took me way too long to catch on to the joy such things offer. Actually I wanted a TR-6 but something similar with a German accent works as well or better.

Well, that didn't last long. Several problems appeared almost immediately.

The used car dealer is a friend so he had no problem taking it back today and giving us a refund.
Other dealers wouldn't be so accommodating.

What a drag. Okay, back to the hunt for another one.

There are about 30 SLKs for sale on Craigslist here. All Automatic.
I'm guessing it's not available in a manual transmission.
If I can't find another TT, then a 350Z or Z4 might be next choices.
