Invicta Investigation is Real. Affidavit here

Postby koimaster » September 22nd 2014, 11:50am

Ok, so I spoke with Claudia who is mentioned in the following email. Yes they are under investigation and not only for repairs. I am uploading the affidavit for those who want to file a complaint. If you have any other valid complaints then add them, sign the papers and the investigator will review them. This means fake Swiss watches (labeled Swiss on dial/Asian movements) etc.

Interesting. As the FL AG contacted us here at WatchLords to ask us to keep our lips zipped? Or are WGLite admins just a bunch of fucking pussies?

I might be missing it, but where does it state not to discuss this in an open forum?
If anything, it would apply to those who are completing the affidavit.

It is my understanding that the AG's office cannot comment regarding an ongoing investigation. Us commoners can rant, rave, share and giggle with glee to our hearts' content. WIT admins are pussing out.

After claiming it was a hoax on one of the locked threads, at least they put this out to let the members know it is real. I wonder how many watch forums will post about it.

I guess the reality is that forum owners will have to walk a fine line. As we know from here, some discussions can get heated. While it is expected here at times and those types of discussions will not influence whether WL stands or falls, other forums do not have the same format.

Nice job, koi; I actually was gonna call the Florida AG office this morning, but you did the dirty work.

It's about time. I also feel sorry for WIT members, because it's now painfully apparent all the place will ever be is a slumber party for fat guys.

As for the investigation: It's only about, what, seven years past due? But it's still heartening, and I hope IWG gets read the riot act - or worse. Serves 'em right.

Not me. A bunch of dolts, especially if they kow-tow to a load like Charles Ninetoes.

Frankly, this investigation should be like shooting fish in a barrel. I just typed "Invicta" into Google and it's like 11 of the first 30 or so listings there were buyers' complaints. This is gonna get juicy, and in a hurry.

Just for grins, google Invicter watches and hit the images link. It's mostly WatchLords linked content, amusing trip down memory lane.

Wonder how the investigation is evolving?

Wonder if the prosecutor will be swayed by Lalo's Panamanian swag and machismo and his large, well, "timepiece?"

After reading in two different places how Bondi got bought off by Donald Trump, i don't give the Invicta thing much chance of the seeing the light of day.

Sickening. EVERYBODY should be going after Lalo and his company - politicians, the media, watch magazines, consumer protection agencies, EVERYBODY. Anyone familiar with the company knows what Invicta does. Cripes, it's like shooting fish in a barrel. Yet, with the exception of this site and scant few others, everybody sits on their fucking hands. IWG sells Chinese "Swiss" watches with crystal diamonds, Evine ships people used watches, it goes on and on. And everybody sits on their hands.

And that's why it's sickening. Lalo prospers, thousands of "little guys" take the financial hit. I know I point and laugh at IWG dweebs, but that's besides the point here. IWG issues products that are falsely advertised, then refuses to service the very products they sell, and literally charges people for their non-service. It's that simple, and it shouldn't be fucking tolerated.

Unfortunately the only ones who seem to give a shit are the noncustomers like us. As long as the lemmings suffer in silence Eyal is golden. The only way he looses is if he has no customers. Nobody cares about a low end watch company.
Now if he were selling Apple watches it might be a different story
